Baltimore Archdiocese Sexual Abuse Survivors Speak Out at Press Conference

| Grant & Eisenhofer P.A. Civil Rights | Blog & News

Following a December 7, 2022 press conference, attorneys for sexual abuse survivors continue to advocate for the release of a government report detailing their allegations. The survivors, now adults, painfully retold their stories of abuse at the hands of Baltimore Archdiocese clergy members over a 4-year long investigation, which was collated into a report by the Maryland Attorney General. Survivors are seeking for the release of the report to shed light on the pervasive problem that has plagued so many Catholic archdiocese.

Two female survivors attended this week’s press conference, who are former students of Archbishop Keough High School in Baltimore. The women are featured in the 2017 Emmy-nominated Netflix docuseries “The Keepers” about the murder of Archbishop Keough’s Sister Catherine Cesnik. The women say they have not yet seen the finalized 456-page Attorney General report, but did assist in providing information AG Frosh’s report.

G&E stands alongside these survivors, many of whom only recently made their stories known in a courageous act of bravery and courage. We are proud to support and advocate for those who have deserved justice for so long.
