| Grant & Eisenhofer P.A. Civil Rights | Blog & News

The family of an 8-year-old boy who took his life after being bullied at school has reached a settlement with the school district. The boy had been repeatedly bullied by classmates at his Ohio elementary school, leading to his suicide in 2017. The $3 million settlement also includes regular monitoring of the school’s anti-bullying plan and implementation of a bullying reporting program for the next two years. The school plans to make improvements to the plan, such as training and supervising staff on anti-bullying reforms and identifying repeat offenders, victims, and locations.

If your child sustained mental or physical injuries, or took his or her own life, after being bullied at school, consider discussing your situation with an experienced attorney at Grant & Eisenhofer P.A. You may be able to file a bullying lawsuit.
