Students Sexually Harassed at Auburn University by Pharmacy Dean
According to documents from Auburn University’s Title IX office, the dean of the University’s pharmacy school was found to be responsible for sexually harassing a student. The student reported Dean Richard Hansen to the Title IX office after he allegedly harassed her at an off-campus bar last spring.
Following an investigation into the allegations, Hansen was given a one-month suspension as well as other sanctions. However, only weeks later, the student was informed via email that the school had “mistakenly provided inaccurate information regarding sanctions.” No updates were provided to the student about the repercussions. Additional students have come forward with sexual harassment complaints concerning Hansen.
