Bullied Teen Graduates, Overcomes Thoughts of Suicide

A high school senior bullied for years by classmates recently graduated from her Texas school. For years, bullies made fun of the 18-year-old, teasing her about her weight, outfits, and social status. According to the victim, some bullies went so far as to say she should kill herself.

The student expressed her pain, struggle and unstable mental state through artwork. One of her pieces depicts a girl torn apart from the inside. The bullies’ tormenting also caused the student to self-harm, leaving marks on her body. By senior year, the bullying had become so bad that the student wrote a suicide note.

Fortunately, the victim received counseling from student support services and professional treatment for her family.
