Cosby Faces Sexual Assault Allegations from Nine More Women

Nine more women have come forward with decades-old claims of sexual assault against comedian Bill Cosby. This lawsuit was filed just a few weeks after Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo signed a bill removing the two-year statute of limitations for adults to file sexual abuse cases. Other states, such as Maryland and New York, have passed similar laws in recent years, allowing survivors the opportunity to seek justice for their suffering. The women claim they were drugged and assaulted in various hotels, dressing rooms, and residences in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe.

The women join approximately 50 others who have lodged similar complaints against the 85-year old. Cosby has denied all allegations.

Lise-Lotte Lublin, a Nevada native who publicly came forward with her claims against Cosby, has become a leading advocate for the new law. Cosby had been a mentor and friend to Lublin when she began modeling in the 1980s. Lublin has alleged that in 1989, when she was just 23 years old, Cosby served her spiked drinks and raped her at a Las Vegas hotel.

“With the new law change,” Lublin says, “I now have the ability to take my assailant Bill Cosby to court. My journey has just begun, but I am grateful for this opportunity to find justice.”
